Contract: Crack & Seat
Partnering with Breedon Aggregates and Bear Scotland, Webfell Minerals have completed the Crack & Seat works on the A9 Aberuthven Northbound, Scotland totalling 15,000m?. Works commenced and completed on the Northbound carriageway in May 2014.
All the work was carried out using the Guillotine Breaker.
One main trial was carried out where hole cores were taken to measure the transverse cracking. It is crucial not to over crack on this type of reconstruction.
All the works were completed on time, enabling reconstruction of the carriageways to be complete and re-opened within the scheduled time.
